After my frustrations with the databases last night, I decided to take myself to the library and talk to a librarian. I didn’t want to continue on all the while knowing I would strike out. I needed to regroup and start over.
I met a very nice librarian who deals with the business school. I told her what I’m doing my project on and what I’ve tried so far. She helped me for over a half an hour, trying different databases and search terms. We were being specific, but we still ended up with one (very slim) possibility for a resource. At least I know it wasn’t just me!
She told me to set up an appointment with the humanities librarian if I continue to have trouble. Right before I left she reiterated to me that “this is going to be difficult. This topic is a tough one to research.”
Oh, great.
